We offer On-Site/Off-Site Education, Internships & Youth Development Programs
Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue offers educational programs that help youth, students, family, and community groups connect with rescued horses in a safe, meaningful, and hands-on way.
Our On-Site Programs:
School Field Trips
School field trips give students the opportunity to visit the sanctuary, meet the herd, learn about horse care, and explore themes such as empathy, responsibility, communication, safety, and animal welfare.
Field trips can be adapted for different ages, grade levels, and learning goals.
Community Group Visits
Lucky Orphans welcomes community groups looking for a meaningful visit to the sanctuary. Group visits may include learning about horse rescue, meeting the herd from designated areas, and exploring the mission of People Helping Horses Help People.
Youth Development Program
Our Youth Development Program offers young people a safe, screen-free opportunity to build confidence, communication skills, compassion, and connection through time with the herd.
Internships & Volunteer Learning
Internships and volunteer learning opportunities give participants hands on exposure to sanctuary care, nonprofit work, animal welfare, public education, and daily farm operations.

Mobile Education
We can take our ponies to you! Participate in hands-on interaction with the ponies and learn about all that they can do. Fill out the form at the bottom of the page to learn more.
What to Know
All education programs at Lucky Orphans are ground-based and do not include riding.No horse riding experience is required. Programs are designed to be safe, meaningful, and age-appropriate for the group attending.Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and farm setting.Program details, group size, pricing and availability may vary.
