Women’s Equine-Assisted Development
A structured, ground-based group experience where women build connection, self-awareness, communication, resilience and mutual support alongside horses.
No riding or previous horse experience is required.
Reconnect. Reflect. Rise.
The Women’s Program at Hudson Valley Horse Park offers a supportive space for women to step away from everyday demands and reconnect with themselves, with others, with nature and with the presence of horses.
Through facilitated, ground-based activities with our sanctuary herd, participants explore themes including self-worth, boundaries, communication, resilience and personal growth. There is no riding and no previous horse experience is required. Instead, participants are invited to observe, reflect and engage alongside horses who respond honestly to body language, energy, boundaries and connection.
The program welcomes women navigating change, seeking greater clarity or looking for a meaningful space to pause and grow within a consistent group. Sessions are led by approved facilitators using structured Equine-Assisted Development activities while respecting the comfort, boundaries and choices of every participant and horse.
Growth is not forced. It develops through reflection, presence, shared experience and the quiet wisdom of the herd.
