General Admission does not include a private guide, barn access or a scheduled horse encounter.
Guided Tours
Hear the stories behind the sanctuary, learn about the horses and discover how Hudson Valley Horse Park grew from Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue.
Tours are ground-based and require advance booking and approved guide coverage.
Horse Encounters
Enjoy a closer staff or volunteers guided experience with selected member of the herd. Encounters are structured around safety, respectful interaction and the horses’ comfort.
Advance booking is required. Horse contact is never guaranteed. There is no riding.
Public Hours
Monday -Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm General Admission is available during confirmed public hours
Weekends: Tours, Encounters, programs and special events are available only as scheduled. Advanced reservations are strongly encouraged. Tours and Encounters require confirmed trained coverage and may not be available for walk-in guests.

What to Expect
Hudson Valley Horse Park is a working nonprofit horse sanctuary. Your visit may include views of the paddocks, approved walking areas and opportunities to observe members of our herd. The farm continues operating during public hours, so staff may be feeding, cleaning, moving horses or completing other essential work.
Visitor Checklist
This is a ground-based facility; there is no riding.
Horses may be viewed only from approved visitor areas.
Guests may not enter barns, stalls, paddocks or staff-only areas without a trained guide.
Guests may not feed or touch a horse unless specifically directed.
Horse interaction depends on the horse’s comfort and is never guaranteed.
Children must remain with a responsible adult.
The property includes gravel, grass, dirt and uneven farm surfaces.
Weather may affect available areas and activities.
Arrival & Check In
All visitors must check in at the Hudson Valley Horse Park office before entering public areas. The office team will confirm your reservation, payment and required waivers and will tell you where your visit begins.
Please do not walk directly into the barns, paddocks or program areas when you arrive.
Follow the property’s visitor signs and park only in the designated visitor parking area. Do not park along farm roads, in front of gates or near horse-care access points. Gates and driveways must remain clear for staff, deliveries and emergencies.

Before You Arrive
Wear closed-toe shoes. Boots or sturdy sneakers are recommended. Sandals, flip-flops and open-toe shoes are not appropriate around horses.
Dress for the weather. Much of the visitor experience may take place outdoors.
Complete your waiver. Required waivers must be signed before participation in tours or encounters.
Arrive on time. Late arrival may shorten a scheduled tour or encounter because staff and volunteers must follow the day’s schedule.
Supervise children. Children must remain with their adult and follow all staff instructions.
Leave pets at home. Do not bring pets onto the property. Contact the office before arriving with a trained service animal so the appropriate safety plan can be discussed.
Do not bring food for the horses. Feeding is allowed only when it is part of an approved activity and directed by the assigned guide.
Accessibility & Accomodations
Hudson Valley Horse Park is a working farm with gravel, grass, dirt and uneven ground. Some visitor areas may be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair, walker or stroller.
If someone in your party has a mobility concern or needs an accommodation, please contact the office before booking. We will explain the current conditions and determine what options can be safely supported.
