Pony Pals
Takes place rain or shine!
Horse enthusiasts ages 3 to 7 are invited to drop in any Saturday morning at 10:00 am for our exciting & educational Pony Pals program. Just $10 per child!
Pony Pals is a fun, hands-on equine experience that teaches youngsters the basics of horse care, grooming, and riding.
Internship
We offer hands-on internships for high school and college students. Internships can be geared towards Equine Sciences, Equine Assisted Therapy, Equine Education, and/or Non-Profit Management.
We are happy to tailor your experience to your interests.
In the past, we have partnered with Vassar and Dover Union Free School District.
4H
Lucky Orphans is proud to have been home to the Un-Whoa-Ables 4H Horse Club since 2004!
Dutchess County 4-H is a collection of programs that provide youth, ages 5-19, with the mentoring and support to grow and thrive regardless of their background, interests, and abilities.
Positive Youth Development strategies, such as engaging young people in topics that interest them, empowering them to make their own decisions, and providing challenging opportunities, resulting in youth who have: Confidence, Competence, Caring, Character, and Connection
These Life and Leadership Skills are the foundation, which enables 4-H youth to: succeed as individuals, support their families, strengthen their communities and make a difference in our world.
