Tours and Encounters are public visitor experiences that offer different ways to meet and learn about the horses of Hudson Valley Horse Park.
Tours guide you through the Horse Park while sharing stories of our sanctuary, our mission and the horses who live here.
Encounters provide a more focused, hands on experience with specific horses under the supervision of an approved guide.
All tours and Encounters are ground based. We do not offer horseback riding. Advance reservations are strongly recommended and availability depends on approved coverage
Looking for an Equine Assisted Development Program?
Tours and Encounters are different from our structured Equine Assisted Development programs. Programs such as our Women’s Group, Youth Development and contracted group sessions have defined learning goals and are facilitated separately.
